Professional Research Poster Presentations
In recognition of Sigma Xi's mission to promote the public's understanding of science, attendees are encouraged to share a poster presentation on their research.
As a distinctive highlight of this year's symposium, there will also be a special section for poster presentations on Food Safety and Security. All scientists and engineers that are involved in research in this area are encouraged to send in their abstracts for their research posters.
In addition to allowing attendees to engage in scientific exchange with their peers, the presentation of scientific posters allows Student Research Conference presenters to engage in dialogue with professional researchers. Career scientists and engineers are encouraged to be present at their posters during a designated Q&A session. Refer to the conference schedule for the time and location. Posters will remain on display throughout the conference.
The poster board space allotted for each poster is 4' x 4', and presentations should be prepared in advance of the meeting. An abstract is required and will be printed in the conference program. After you have successfully registered, please send your abstract via e-mail to meeting@sigmaxi.org. Please review the Presentation Guidelines available online for tips and assistance in preparing your presentation.
Poster Presentations are accepted as space permits, so register and submit your abstract early.
